I’m an event planner at a boutique hotel in an up and coming city. Our big events typically take place on a quarterly basis unless there’s something really special happening. They’re seasonally themed, usually with another underlying theme involved. For example, we hold a Winter Wonderland, a Spring Fling, a Summer Barbecue, and a Fall Harvest Festival. The underlying theme is typically something related to that season.

Being an event planner sounds like a really fun job, and don’t get me wrong, it certainly is. But it’s also a lot more work than it looks like. Often people don’t realize this because they’re too busy reaping the benefits of the effort that was expended. Overall, this is the ultimate goal. It’s definitely a big job.

The next Fall Harvest Festival also coincided with the hotel’s 10 year anniversary, so it needed to be more exceptional than ever this year. We were expecting a large number of guests for the celebration- definitely a lot more than we had hosted in the past. The hotel restaurant would do the main courses which would be served buffet style, and the dessert menu for the festival, the bar would take care of creating the cocktail menu and wine list, and the 4 members of the event team would make 2 appetizers each.

My plan of attack was to make two dishes: a butternut squash and apple soup in a small cup with a miniature apple, caramelized onion and Gruyère grilled cheese garnish, and a spicy pumpkin dip to spread on crostini. The reason for choosing both of these dishes was because I could make them both in large batches in my Cuisinart food processor. It was seriously a lifesaver.

Since I use it so much I tend to need to replace some parts on a regular basis. My destination for finding these is KitchenWorksInc. They sell legitimate Cuisinart dfp 14 parts. Typically I need to replace my blades but I have had some personal clumsy mishaps that have made it necessary for me to order other parts at times. It’s well worth it to keep my appliance in perfect working order.

The recipes turned out exactly as planned and I was able to whip up more than what was needed. Everything fell perfectly into place, and everyone enjoyed the festivities. A handful of people even asked for the recipes, which was flattering. People were intrigued when I told them how I managed to pull everything off.

I am constantly recommending that everyone get a Cuisinart Food Processor. I personally think that it’s such a kitchen staple. I really don’t know how anyone manages without one. Without it, I couldn’t do so many of the extra things I’m able to pull off for my job. I’m really grateful for that.
